How to Play Billiards (Controls)
Whether you are playing solo or facing off against our tough AI opponent, the controls are designed to be smooth and satisfying on both mobile and desktop:
- Slingshot Aiming: Tap anywhere on the screen and drag backward (away from where you want to shoot). You will see a glowing aim line extend forward, and the virtual cue stick draw backward.
- Power Control: The further back you drag your finger or mouse, the harder your shot will be. Release to strike!
- The Kitchen: If you accidentally pocket the white cue ball (a “Scratch”), the game will automatically place it back behind the starting line (the Kitchen) for your next shot.
- Extra Turns: Just like real billiards, if you legally pocket a ball during your turn, you get to shoot again! Keep the streak alive to dominate the CPU.
Winning Strategies: Dominate the Table
To climb the Leaderboard and beat the CPU on Hard mode, you need to think a few shots ahead:
1. The Perfect Break
Don’t just blast the rack at random. For the best spread, aim slightly off-center on the front ball. This transfers energy through the triangle and scatters the balls widely, giving you easy follow-up shots.
2. Play the Angles
Use the “Ghost Ball” aiming technique. Visualize where the cue ball needs to be at the exact moment of impact to push the target ball into the pocket, then draw your aim line directly through that spot.
3. Save the 8-Ball!
In Single Player mode, sinking the 8-Ball before the table is clear results in an instant loss. Always plan your shots to steer the white cue ball away from the 8-Ball until it is the very last ball remaining!
