How to Play Carrom Pro (Rules & Controls)
Whether you are playing the Daily Challenge, taking on our tough AI, or passing the phone to play 2-Player mode with a friend, the controls are intuitive and seamless:
- Position the Striker: When it is your turn, click (or tap) and drag the orange striker left or right along your baseline to find the perfect starting angle.
- Aim and Shoot: Once positioned, tap the striker and pull your finger backward. A dotted trajectory line will appear to show you the angle and power of your shot. Release to fire!
- Beat the Clock: Don’t take too long! In multiplayer and CPU modes, you have a strict 30-second shot clock. If time runs out, your turn is automatically skipped.
- Academy Mode: Want to practice? Open the “Academy” menu to load specific Trick Shot challenges, like the infamous Double Pocket or the Rebound King!
Winning Strategies: How to Master Carrom
To get a Top 5 spot on the Leaderboard, you need to think like a billiards champion. Keep these three strategies in mind:
1. Earn Your Medals (Efficiency is Key)
In Single Player mode, you aren’t just trying to win; you are trying to be efficient.
- 🥇 Gold Medal: Clear the board in 5 shots or less.
- 🥈 Silver Medal: Clear the board in 8 shots or less.
- 🥉 Bronze Medal: Clear the board in 12 shots or less. Plan your shots so that one strike pockets multiple coins!
2. Master the “Bank Shot” (Rebounds)
The shortest distance between the striker and a coin isn’t always a straight line. Often, other coins will block your path. Use the dotted trajectory line to aim at the wooden walls and bounce the striker behind the blockers to hit your target.
3. The Power Break
Your very first shot of the game is crucial. Aim directly at the center of the coin cluster and pull back for maximum power. A good break will scatter the coins toward the four corner pockets, making your follow-up shots incredibly easy.
